Courier to Europe from India

Delivo prices Europe by destination country rather than as one block, because the difference between Germany and Greece is real. Pick the country at booking and the quote reprices against that lane.

Before you book

Priced per country, not per continent

The Europe lane splits into country groups, from Germany and France through to the Nordic, Baltic and southeastern groups. Choose the destination country at booking. A quote taken against the wrong group is not the price you will be charged, because the server reprices every booking.

Longer transit than the UK

Europe runs longer than the United Kingdom lanes. If the parcel is time sensitive and the receiver is in Britain, use the UK page instead.

EU import VAT falls on the receiver

Goods entering the European Union attract import VAT and, above certain values, duty. These are assessed by the destination country and payable by the receiver. Delivo's charge covers freight, Mumbai export formalities and Indian GST.

Sending a parcel to Europe: common questions

Which European countries does Delivo ship to?

The Europe lane covers Germany, France, Italy, Ireland, Monaco, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Romania and Greece. Each is priced in its country group. The United Kingdom is a separate lane with its own page.

How long does a courier from India to Europe take?

Typically 10 to 12 days from pickup to delivery, subject to customs clearance. It runs longer than the UK lanes, so plan gifts and deadlines against the longer figure.

Do I pay VAT when sending a parcel to the EU?

Import VAT is assessed by the destination country and paid by the receiver, not added to your Delivo charge. Your charge covers the freight, export formalities at Mumbai and 18 percent Indian GST.

How is the courier charge to Europe calculated?

On chargeable weight, which is the greater of the actual weight and the volumetric weight of the box. Volumetric weight is length x width x height in centimetres divided by 5000. The rate calculator applies the same brackets our operations team sees, so the figure you get before booking is the figure you pay. Indian GST of 18 percent is added on top of the freight.

Do you pick the parcel up from my address?

Yes. Book online and hand the parcel to the pickup partner at your door. Pickup covers addresses across India, and the domestic leg to our Mumbai export hub is included in the price you were quoted.

Who pays customs duty at the other end?

Duties and taxes in the destination country are set by that country's customs authority and are payable by the receiver. Delivo does not set them and cannot waive them. Your Delivo charge covers the freight, the export formalities at Mumbai and GST in India.

Can I track a shipment to Europe?

Yes. One Delivo AWB covers both the domestic leg and the international leg, so a single number follows the parcel from your door to delivery. Track it from the tracking page or from Shipments in your dashboard.
